VIDEO: Devils River Series Pt. 2 – Jon B.

by YakAttack

In the second part of the Devils River Series follow Jon B. and crew as they depart on day two of their 4 day 4 night kayak fishing journey down the Devils River in Texas in search of pristine waters and big bass. Day one was a bit slow and it took a few miles to start to develop a pattern and determine what stage of spring the fish were in and where they were located. Fishing started to pickup and as the crew made their way further downstream they start to hook into some nice smallmouth. Compared to day one of about 4 miles covered the crew needs to make it 10 miles downstream to keep up with the schedule. Every tree, rock, and feature on the Devils River looks like it would hold fish so they need to rely on the pattern to pickup fish along the way while sticking to the goal of keeping pace.
