Even if you aren't a salt water angler, for most of us who fish and kayak fish the Sailfish is one of those bucket list species that you just have to catch. They are fast, beautiful, and one of the most unique predators in the ocean and when you throw in the use of a kayak the appeal drastically increases.
For YakAttack National Team Member Brandon Barton that day was something special. Joined by fellow team member, Marty Mood, they launched early in the morning on July 4th hoping for the best. With a day full of action and excitement the duo landed Cobia, Kingfish, Bonita, Snapper, and the day was topped off with this amazing Sailfish.
