Beachburg, Canada (June 3, 2020) - Heliconia, the video production company behind Epic Trails, Paddle Tales and Kayak Bassin’, was a big winner at the 41st Telly Award, bringing home four statues in recognition of its excellence in television and digital productions. Heliconia won two awards, a Gold and Silver, for Epic Trails: Papua New Guinea, a Silver Award for Paddle Tales: Le Boat, and a Bronze award for Kayak Bassin’: Long Branch Lakes.

“I’d like to say a great big congratulations to our hard-working team, and a huge thank you to our partners, for their support in the creation of these shows,” says Heliconia president, Ken Whiting. “At Heliconia, we pride ourselves on creating inspiring and engaging content and sharing some of the best adventure travel stories in the world. It’s a real honour to receive this recognition from our peers at the Telly Awards.”

Epic Trails follows avid backpacker, knowledgeable wilderness explorer and passionate adventurer, Eric Hanson as he discovers the people, places and adventures that surround the world’s top backpacking trails. In addition to winning two Telly Awards, Epic Trails was recently voted one of the top adventure series to watch in 2020 by The Washington Post. Season 3 of Epic Trails is set to premier nationwide on FOX Sports Network and OutsideTV later this month.

Funded in part by Bell Fund and Ontario Creates, Paddle Tales is an inspiring and adventure-filled journey that entertains viewers–whether or not they’ve ever laid hands on a paddle. Season 2 of Paddle Tales is currently in the production stage with episodes set to release this summer.

Chad Hoover Fishing, formally Kayak Bassin’, stars funny-man Chad Hoover as the host of an engaging and entertaining fishing show jam packed with thrilling kayak fishing action and valuable fishing tips.
