Mary Gibson’s favorite way to get on the water is a solo canoe. Her need for speed is extreme and the sleek solo canoe is her favorite way to satisfy it. Her appeal to the industry is the lifestyle around the sport. She gets to live her passion while making a living, although it was never about the money for her. One night, while on an overnight kayaking paddle off the shore of Savannah, Mary and the rest of the group got, let’s say, turned around, and unexpectedly had to make camp. Soon they quickly found sleep at their camp site. A few hours in, Mary was awoken by some unfamiliar sounds. She opened her eyes, the full moon gleaming on the sea and casting flecks into the water. An open cut had formed as the tide came in and she soon found the source of those strange sounds. A pod of dolphins were feeding! She could hear them calling out and splashing in the water, surely an unforgettable memory. It’s the adventure, the paddle family, and the simplistic lifestyle that keeps Mary and her crew coming back for more each day.
